Harana sa Canada!

KULTURA's arts initiative backers were blown away by the 2023 edition of our Harana Valentine's Day festival.

The date of Harana was February 12, 2023. The KULTURA project's goal is to increase cultural understanding and appreciation among our Filipino members and friends in Mississauga, Canada. Over 45 people attended in person, while many more connected online.

Because of the traditional music and attire, attendees frequently referred to our Harana event as their blast from the past. The event's mood was unaffected by our cramped location; it was still a tribute to the ideals of traditional Filipino courting, when respect, love, and friendship were the guiding principles.

One of our staff started off the festivities with an inspiring traditional Harana (serenade) song. Ptr. Rod, Bro. Cristian, and Ptr. Luel delivered short messages starting from courtship to a happy married life. Before ending up the formal event, Pastor Fred Tomas urged those assembled, especially the couples in front of the Main Stage to pray in a heartfelt and charming address...
